You’ve heard the phrase, “Don’t judge a book by its’ cover.” I think this phrase applies to hitting and I see coaches all the time giving feedback based on the finish of a swing. While the finish of the swing can give you feedback, it can also fool you. Having analyzed swings professionally for over a decade, I still rely on high speed cameras even for youth hitters. There is just too much happening too fast to trust your eye.
